William Henderson co-founded Ride Report in 2015, launching the first mobility management platform when dockless micromobility was in its infancy. Under William’s leadership, Ride Report grew from a bootstrapped startup to the industry leader with over 70 customers and 30 operator partners worldwide. William’s work leveraged his expertise in regulation and financial technology, along with a passion for just and sustainable transportation. William strived to create a technology company that lives up to its responsibility of managing sensitive data and fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace.
The next boom in micromobility is personally owned electric bikes. It’s already happening. Ebike sales spiked during the pandemic, a personal tax credit was almost included in our first-ever Federal climate bill, and elected officials are pushing for voucher programs across the US. And of course there's already a spectrum of takes.
Behold, a Ride Report dream comes true!
For the last four years, we’ve worked with city, state, regional, and federal agencies around the world to ingest data from millions of shared bike and scooter trips. This granular data, when safely aggregated and visualized, shows how, when, and where people bike and scooter.
This week is big for shared bikes and scooters. Yesterday, industry leaders released the 2030 Action Agenda, calling on advocates, operators, researchers, and aggregators to join together to act. To make shared mobility a better option than driving a car in the next eight years.
We’re here at the National Shared Mobility Summit learning the specific pathways and roadblocks to reducing mobility based carbon and increasing mobility justice. You know as well as we do – it’s complicated. Every jurisdiction has their own histories, goals, pace, budgets, and politics.
